Elka Stage 4 shock absorbers provide maximum performance and adjustability to meet the demanding needs of today’s racers and track day riders.


Elka Suspension hand-builds shocks, ensuring that each unit is valved and sprung specifically for bike model, rider weight, linkage ratio and type of track. Those units feature high- and low-speed compression adjustability to provide squat and traction control during cornering and acceleration, keeping the contact patch of the tire on the track while allowing smooth absorption of bumps and obstacles. In short, it keeps you glued to the track.


The Stage 4+HYD model also feature a remote hydraulic preload adjuster that makes it a breeze to quickly dial it in at the track. It’s also a very convenient option for some motorcycles where a regular manual preload adjuster is located out of easy reach.


These are not an “off-the-shelf” shocks – they are custom-built and sprung specifically for you to get the maximum performance for your specific personal use. No need to change the spring or have it revalved. Install it and ride. After all, that’s what it’s all about.

Abbreviations – Adjustments – Description:

 

RDH – Ride Height Adjustment – Allows fine tuning of the shocks extended length / chassis height / weight distribution.

 

PRE – Threaded Spring Preload – Allows fine tuning of the bikes ride height.

 

REB – Rebound Damping – Controls the speed at which the shock returns to its fully extended position after an impact or compression movement.

 

COMP – Compression Damping – Controls the overall level of resistance when the shock is being compressed (stiff or soft)

 

HSC – High Speed Compression Damping – Allows separate fine tuning of the level of resistance when the shock is quickly being compressed (cracks, potholes, road debris etc)

 

LSC – Low Speed Compression Damping - Allows separate fine tuning of the level of resistance when the shock is slowly being compressed (squatting under acceleration, undulations)

 

HYD – Hydraulic Preload Adjuster – Provides effortless fine tuning of the bikes ride height (SAG) using an hydraulic remote knob (10mm range)
